Grosse
Pointe is one of those rare places that draws generation upon generation
back to raise their own children in a community with schools that have kept
up with the times. Here children grow up within walking distance of great
schools.
Part of what anchors this community is the school system. GPPSS takes great
pride in offering an educational experience that meets the needs of every
student, every day. Visit us at

The
Backyard
Community
Gardens
Currently, Grosse
Pointe
Park
is home to two community gardens.
Grayton
Gardens,
founded in 2009, is located at Mack and Grayton and is shared by 11
families that live on the block.
The Backyard, established in 2010,
stands at Mack and Wayburn.
This year, 47 families joined The
Backyard.
With hard work
and dedication, our friendly neighbors have transformed unused city
property into garden oases in the Park and have enjoyed fresh,
local, organically
grown produce as well as a stronger sense of community because of
it.
For
more information on the established community gardens or for
suggestions on how to start a community garden on your block,
