Grosse Pointe Theatre
Grosse Pointe Theatre has been a community theater group serving the Grosse Pointes and greater Detroit community for over 70 years. Grosse Pointe Theatre offers five Main Stage productions each season, plus two Youth on Stage programs and one contemporary Purdon Studio Theatre show. Volunteer members work to put on the productions, building sets, designing and sewing costumes, handling props, and much more. The mission of Grosse Pointe Theatre is to engage, enrich, educate, and impact our community by continuing a tradition of exceptional theatrical experiences. A proud recipient of the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce Pointer of Distinction Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Activity, the organization always welcomes new volunteers or patrons who enjoy live theatre and looks for outreach opportunities in the community. Grosse Pointe School System
Grosse Pointe is one of those rare places that draws generation upon generation back to raise their own children in a community with schools that have kept up with the times. Here, children grow up within walking distance of great schools. Part of what anchors this community is the school system. Grosse Pointe Public Library

The Helm
The Helm, formerly Services for Older Citizens, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, non-residential senior community center dedicated to making the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods areas a great place to grow older. The organization, open to all citizens over age 60 and their caregivers in the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods, offers programs and services including Meals on Wheels, transportation (through the PAATS program), exercise classes, fellowship and social gatherings, minor home repair services, Medicare counseling, tax preparation, medical transportation escort service - everything to keep older adults informed and engaged. Friends of Patterson Playscape 
Originally built in 1991 by the Grosse Pointe Park Community the Friends of Patterson Park Playscape is a group of volunteers mission is to fundraise, organize, and promote the caretaking of this community staple. The group is looking for volunteers with a helping hand to repair worn boards, clean and seal, fill the sandbox and more. Please visit pattersonplayscape.org to find out more.
Patterson Park Garden Club
The Patterson Park Garden Club is focused on Patterson Park at Essex Blvd. The club is an independent organization affiliated with the Michigan Garden Clubs and works with the Grosse Pointe Park Beautification Commission. To learn more please visit their Facebook page.
Pointe Area Assisted Transportation Services (PAATS)
If you are a resident of Harper Woods or Grosse Pointes and are 60+ and/or disabled, you can ride the Pointe Area Assisted Transportation Services (PAATS). To reserve a ride, a reservation is required at least 2 days in advance. All passengers riding on PAATS and returning after 3 pm must make a return appointment. All appointments must be made by 1 pm. Trombly School
Members of the Grosse Pointe Park City Council, resident volunteers, Grosse Pointe Park Foundation and the Grosse Pointe Public School System are in review of a potential to reopen the former Trombly Elementary School. Grosse Pointe Historical Society
The Grosse Pointe Historical Society was organized in 1945 to promote the preservation of our local heritage and to share that knowledge with the community. The Society works to make the history of our exceptional community vital, relevant, and accessible. Through our programs, facilities, and events, we bring history to life and protect historic artifacts so that we can all experience the past first hand.
