I am deeply grateful to serve as the Director of Public Safety in the supportive and welcoming community of Grosse Pointe Park. It is a privilege to lead an exceptional team of men and women who serve in our Public Safety Department. Our shared mission is to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, businesses, and visitors of Grosse Pointe Park, fostering a secure and thriving environment for everyone.
As the Director of Public Safety for Grosse Pointe Park, I have nearly three decades of law enforcement experience, beginning my career in 1996 with the Macomb County Sheriff Department. In 2002, I joined the Detroit Police Department before transitioning to Grosse Pointe Park in 2003, where I have served as a Public Safety Officer, Youth Officer, Firearms Instructor, Training Coordinator, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, and Deputy Chief prior to being appointed as Grosse Pointe Park’s 5th Director of Public Safety in June of 2023.
My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University, a graduate certificate in Leadership from the University of Virginia, and a master’s degree from Liberty University. I am honored to be an FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award recipient, a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, and a member of the 290th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
