Service Line Verification

The City of Grosse Pointe Park is committed to increasing the quality of the existing water system by replacing water mains and non-compliant water service lines. As part of this commitment, the City follows the requirements put in place by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE), to inventory and plan for the most efficient water system upgrades.

What if I received a letter?

The City may already know the type of service line you have, in which case this letter is simply a notification.

However, if you have received this letter, it may indicate that we need to verify the material of your service line.

If you would like to send in a photo of your water service line to have the City verify the material please scratch your water service line, using a penny, in the location shown to the left, and provide a picture of the service and email it to water@grossepointepark.org. Alternatively, you can schedule an appointment for a DPW employee to visit your property and verify the line.
